About the role
Degird runs several SaaS products at once — Dormefy, Pulse, and Caster among them — with a small engineering team and no layer of hand-offs between the person who designs a feature and the person who ships it. This role is for someone who wants that ownership rather than a ticket queue.
You will pick up a problem at the point where it is still ambiguous, decide the data model, build the API and the interface, put it behind a flag, watch it in production, and then fix what the first real users find. Nobody else is going to do the unglamorous half of that for you — and nobody is going to take the interesting half away either.
What you'll do
- Ship features end to end across the stack: Postgres schema, Node.js API, and the React/Next.js interface that sits on top.
- Design data models and API contracts before writing the endpoint, and write down why the shape is what it is.
- Review pull requests from the rest of the engineering team with specific, actionable feedback — usually within a working day.
- Instrument what you ship, then use the numbers to decide whether the feature actually worked.
- Keep an eye on query plans, bundle size, and Core Web Vitals as a normal part of the work, not a quarterly clean-up.
- Take part in the on-call rotation for the SaaS products (roughly one week in five, with time back afterwards).
- Write the internal doc or the customer-facing doc when a feature needs one.
What we're looking for
Everything in this list is a genuine requirement — if one of them is missing, the role will not work out, and we would rather say so here than at the fourth stage. We do not ask for a degree, and we do not count years of a framework that has not existed that long.
- 4+ years building and maintaining production web applications you can talk about in detail.
- Strong TypeScript — you reach for the type system to prevent bugs rather than fighting it with `any`.
- Deep React experience, and real familiarity with a modern Next.js app: server components, routing, caching, and where each of them bites.
- Comfortable in Node.js and SQL. You can read an EXPLAIN plan and know when an index is the answer and when it is not.
- You have carried something to production and kept it running — migrations, rollbacks, incidents and all.
- Clear written English. Most decisions here are made in writing, asynchronously.
- Able to work legally in Bangladesh and overlap with the team during core hours.
Nice to have
Genuinely optional. Missing all of these has never stopped us making an offer.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture and row-level security.
- You have built on top of an LLM API in production, not just in a side project.
- Background in payments or billing integrations (Stripe, Paddle, Freemius).
- Open-source work we can read.

Working arrangement
Remote — Bangladesh
Fully remote from anywhere in Bangladesh. Two optional team weeks in Dhaka each year, travel covered.
40 hours a week, Sunday – Thursday, with core overlap 11:00 – 17:00 (UTC+6). Probation is 3 months on full salary and full benefits, with a written check-in at the halfway point.
Compensation
৳80,000 – ৳150,000 / month
